This is an occassional blog. I shall be posting short, medium and long posts of a semi-academic nature, as well as some polemical ones, mainly reflecting on contemporary issues and events using a caste lens. I believe that most Indians irrespective of their ideological inclinations, education, occupation, and social location are predisposed by their caste habitus to take positions on most issues that either largely ignores the considerable presence of caste in our everyday lives, or explicitly reflects caste prejudices and biases. Time and body permitting, I will try and respond to comments on my posts.

Part of the motivation for this blog emerges from the frustration of ‘progressive’ print / online publishers unwilling to give voice to a different point of view.
